Quality of life/Zoning laws threaten Crestwood subdivisionPosted on: 2010-02-08The property at 2826 W. Silverspring Dr. which abuts Crestwood on the west end (Silverspring and Teutonia), applied for a zoning variance last year. There is another hearing Feb. 11th at Milwaukee City Hall, 200 E. Wells St., third floor, common council committee room, room 301-B at 7:30pm. This is a meeting of the Zoning board of appeals. This property wants to engage in concrete crushing, which is considered a mining operation and can create considerable amount of particulates that will be blown by the winds into the Crestwood area. As a group of affected people we have signed a petition with 34 signatures from the west end of Crestwood. Attached are pictures of the dust in our neighborhood.
